The OGSA-DAI technology is a tool to access and integrate data from separate sources within a Grid. OGSA-DAI works closely with the Open Grid Forum (OGF) Database Access and Integration Services (DAIS) working group and is funded by OMII-UK. It is often use for the exposure of data resources, such as relational or XML databases and thus works welll with many popular database management systems. All in all, OGSA-DAI includes a collection of components for querying, transforming and delivering data in different ways. In terms of client developments, a simple toolkit for developing client applications is also provided.
The UNICORE 6 Rich Client is based on Eclipse and its plug-in architecture.
The OGSA-DAI support for the UNICORE 6 Eclipse client uses the
Eclipse plug-in technology and the OGSA-DAI client toolkit to enable the view of
databases accessible via the OGSA-DAI technology.

In addition to the browsing of databases, the plug-in can be also used during data staging-in and -out of computational
jobs submitted to Grid resources (i.e. clusters, supercomputers, etc.). The following snapshot provides an overview of
